Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer Review

Quick post today about the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser primer. This primer was released in Asia market last year and finally made its way to USA in early January. So does it eraser your pores? Lets take a look!

Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is a clear gel silicone base primer. Its non greasy, and has a lot of slip to it, so you must make sure that you let it dry before applying your makeup to avoid your makeup from sliding around. Now this primer is not a pore filling primer, it simply blurs the appearance of them. This is a downer for me because I have large pores on the side of my nose and the blurred effect doesn't do enough for me.
At 1st it gave the appearance that my pores where blurred fairly well, but within the hour my pores came to the surface and it looked as though I had never applied it. As far as a primer, it did decent. It didn't prolong my makeup, but it didn't disappear after a few hours either. The price is right at $6.99 and is a good pore eraser primer if you don't have large pores. But for someone with larger pores the blurring effect just won't do it.

Maybelline Color Sensational The Buff Nude Lipsticks

Hello guys *waves* hope everyone is doing well. Today I will be reviewing 2 of the new Maybelline Color Sensational The Buff nude lipsticks. Now my local Ulta sold out of these so FAST, but luckily I was able to grab the two that best suits my skin tone. On to the review.
The two colors that I have are Maple Kiss (left) and Stormy Sahara (right). Maple Kiss is a brown shade with red undertones to it. This is really perfect for a quick swap of color. I do prefer this one with a lip liner simply because its so close to my actual lip color, that I feel that I need a liner to define my lips a little better. Stormy Sahara (right) is taupe pink brown color. Now this one is a little pale for me, but with a darker lip liner its pretty close to get a great everyday taupe lipstick.

I think these lipsticks are actually nice. The formula is nice and smooth. Their moisturizing, but not over bearing so it keeps that traditional lipstick feel. The lasting powder is decent obviously if your eating, drinking and talking a lot the color will shade, but it hangs out for a while. I think the range of nudes in this collection is perfect for all skin tones.  You can find these at CVS, Walgreens, and Target.

Maybelline Master Hi-Lighting Blush Review

Hi guys! Today I have 2 of the Maybelline Master Hi-Lighting blushes that were just released. There are a total of 6 but these 2 were the only ones that caught my eye. These are beautiful highlight blushes that can be used on the cheeks or as traditional highlighters. On to the review.

First up we have Mauve which is a purple nude combination. Now if you have a small enough brush you could use each color individuality, but I simply swirled them all together. The quilted pattern doesn't bleed which is a plus. Once swirled together the effect is a light shimmery blush. It was a little to shimmery for me to use as a cheek blush, but on the cheekbone it didn't really pop either. This was just ok. I wasn't wowed, I just think for my skin and the look that I was going for it didn't work for me.
Lastly we have Deep Bronze. This is a shimmery peachy bronze color when swirled together. Like mauve the quilted pattern doesn't go away. But like Mauve I found this also to shimmery for a cheek blush. This is suited better for me as a true highlight it glowed and just looked really beautiful. I did notice as the day went on that my skin did look slightly orange, so please be light handed.
Heres a swatch of each color:
Mauve to top, Deep Bronze on bottom

Overall these highlight blushes are decent. Im not in love nor am I disappointed either. I would say to give them a try and see if the whole highlight blushes are for you. For me these are just a little bit to shimmery to be a "blush" You can find these at Walgreens, CVS, Target and Ulta.
