Milani Brow Shaping Gel Review

This is one of several Milani products that I will be reviewing. Milani is on a serious roll with all the new products that have been released by them. Today I have quick review on the Milani Brow Shaping Gel. So does it keep the brows in place? Let's take a look.

The Milani Brow Shaping Gel comes in a traditional mascara packaging and wand. The wand is smaller to fit and shape the brows. It only comes in a clear gel, and a nice amount of product come out onto the wand. Since the wand is black and the gel is clear you can see the amount of product that is on the wand so that you don't over use. Once on the brow it doesn't flake and its lightweight. My eyebrows didn't feel wet and there's no crunchy feeling once the gel dries.

It kept my eyebrows tamed for the day but it didn't bulletproof them. My eyebrows did get really itchy with this product and with a slight scratch my eyebrows did slightly move. Honestly I didn't see a difference in this or by just getting a clear mascara from other brands. It's not life changing, but its cool if you're in the market for trying brow shaping gel review or just want to try.

January Favorites 2014

So January is OVER! January is one of my favorite months simply because its my birthday and the start of a new year. Today I'm bringing you my January favorites, which isn't a lot because I was so busy this month. Let's drive right into it!

First up is MAC Face and Body foundation. Quick story on this product I used to HATE this foundation. So what changed it to be a favorite? My skin. My skin cleared up since the last time I used this and I am in LOVE. I apply 2 coats and top it off with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish. This has been my everyday look this month!

Lush Mask of Magnaminty Cleanser is one of my ALL TIME favorite mask. Its prompted by LUSH as a cleanser, but I use it as a nice, gentle mask everyday. It gives a nice, tingle, refreshing feeling and my skin just feels so radiant.

Wet n Wild Fergie On Edge Longwearing Eye Liner in the color Hyper Sky is from the new permanent line of eyeliner within the Fergie collection. I just love this color blue and awakes my eyes so much when applied to my waterline. It is pretty long wearing, but slightly fades in color towards the end of the day. But overall its a beauty!

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask is a great moisturizer for my skin doing the winter time for me. I use it nightly and it just gives my skin baby skin smoothes in the morning. My face feels hydrated and fresh.

Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser is a black charcoal scrub that is heaven in a bottle. As I rub this into my face I can feel a cooling refreshing on my skin. My skin looks and feels so clean with that "over drying" feeling. I love this cleanser.

NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder is pretty impressive. It lightweight and finely milled sparkling particles. It doesn't give my face a flat matte look, but simply a fresh, blurred look. If you have deeper skin, be careful with being to product heavy because it can give .|a white case effect if too much is applied.

MAC Select Cover Up concealer is a sheer to medium coverage concealer. I like this because it sets fast and dries down to a matte finish, so once in place it won't move. LOVE IT!

MAC Sable eyeshadow is a favorite of mines and has been for years. Its just the perfect peachy, shimmery color that suits every occasion. As you can see I have hit pan on mines and will be purchasing another sometime this week.

Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights in Peach Light is a beautiful illuminator with shimmery particles. I enjoy wearing this under my foundation because it gives a nice sheer throughout the day and truly keeps me looking dewy and healthy for the day

L'oreal Color Vibrancy Instant Shock Treatment is quick 60 seconds conditioner that gives your color treated hair a shiny, brilliant look. I recently dyed my hair a black blue color and this really keeps my color alive and awake.
SO…thats everything! Nothing too major but I truly love every single product. What were some of you guys favorites for the month of January?

NARS Pro Prime Instant Line and Pore Perfector Review

I feel like this is going to be the year of "pore perfecting" primers. Today I have the new NARS Pro Prime Instant Line and Pore Perfector. Now I'm all for all "pore" primers because I have large pores on the cheeks and smaller ones on my nose and forehead.  So does this live to claim of perfecting pores? Lets take a look!

This primer comes in a stick applicator with twist up movement. The is a non-greasy, colorless balm. When applied it doesn't move, it immediately absorbs into the skin instantly. I feel like this product is best for applying only to the your pores and fine lines. Since this product doesn't offer a lot of a product rubbing all over your face isn't worth it. Since this absorbs immediately without needing to blend or rub into the skin, placing your makeup immediately afterward isn't a problem, your makeup won't slip and slide.

Now lets get to my issue with this product is that for $28 you get 1.7g. The picture above is all the product that you get -_-. The product overall does do a decent job at filling in my pores, but nothing ground breaking. I personally feel like there's other pore/fine line primers that do a better job with a greater value. I love NARS but this simply just a okay product with ok results.
You can find this at Sephora, and NARS counters.

Splatter Texture Nail Art

I just wanted to show with you all the a mani I did that uses different textures and effects. I've been loving creative manis lately so this is right up my alley!

I used for the texture polish I used:
 OPI Wharf! Wharf! Wharf!
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (pinky)
OPI Can't Find My Czechbook as the base for my ringer finger and thumb
OPI I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw as the splatter color.

This is just a really easy nail art that combines texture with effects to jazz up the nails. I can't stop staring at my hands!

L'oreal Oleo Therapy Oil Infused Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Hello everyone! How was the weekend? Mines was nice and relaxing. The weather has been pretty amazing in Dallas, so I took full advantage of the breezy. Today I have the new L'oreal Oleo Therapy Oil Infused Shampoo and Conditioner. This set is a 6 flower oil based sulfate free system…so does it live up to the claim that you  will have luxurious, moisturizing hair? Lets find out!

First up we need the L'oreal Oleo Therapy Oil Infused Shampoo, now this is an extremely oil gel based shampoo. Its very thick and you can feel the heavily infused oil in the every drop. Despite how thick it is, the shampoo spreads nice over the hair, so you need don't need that much. Once rubbed in, the oil feeling goes away and turns into a traditional shampoo. Once rinsed out my hair was tangle free and super soft. This is rare in other shampoos that I have used can have my hair tangle and hard. It was also easy to rinse out, and there was no oil greasy feeling afterward, which is always a plus!

The conditioner acts similarly to the shampoo except instead of being a thick gel, its a thick oil based creme. It spreads easily and has a heavier scent of flowers than the shampoo. Once rinsed out the conditioner only help intense the softest of my hair. I mean, my hair truly felt like butter. It washed out easily and didn't leave a greasy feel or a strapped feel like some sulfate free conditioner can sometimes do.

Overall this duo has really impressed me. I love L'oreal products and this duo is amazing. Easy to lather up and rinse. No greasy or strapped feeling. Makes my hair feel like butter, and gives a really nice shiny healthy look to the hair. This is certainly my go to shampoo and conditioner at the moment and its so worth a try. You can find this at Target or Ulta.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Swatch

So my weekend started off with a BANG when the UPS rang the door bell and delivered the highly anticipated MAC Viva Glam Rihanna lipstick. Now I like Rihanna music and was huge fan of her limited edition collection with MAC that she did in 2013. So I couldn't wait for this Viva Glam to come out. Lets explore this BEAUTY!

Now this is a nice bright reddy orange with little hints of a orange frost shimmer. I am not a frost texture lipstick fan at all. I always feel like frost lipsticks look ashy and too shimmery on my lips. So I was worried about how this would turn out. But boy was I wrong! The lipstick applied very smooth and pigmented with one layer. It wasn't patchy and the subtle shimmer brings out the beautiful color red orange color. The formula is moisturizing and soft. I've always been afraid of red lipsticks but this makes me so comfortable because even though its bright, its now "HOLY SMOKE WTH IS ON YOUR LIPS" feeling.

I love this lipstick! The wear is really good, I've been wearing this since 9 am this morning and after eating, talking and picture taking the lipstick still looks so AMAZING! I can't stop looking at it. The picture do this no justice, this is a most have lipstick. This is limited edition for the entire year of 2014 and all the profits got to MAC AIDS/HIV foundation. You can have find this on maccosmetics.com and at all MAC counters and stores.

OPI Gwen Stefani Collection Swatches Part II

Here today I have the 2nd part of the OPI Gwen Stefani limited edition collection.  Overall I enjoy all of these polishes, yes thier simple, but classic colors are always good to have around.

First up is I Sing in Red this a dark vampy red. Sadly this polish just didn't work out for me. It was patchy and runny. I'm going to blame that I might have pick up a bad bottle, because the color in the bottle is beautiful. Pictured with 3 coats in direct sunlight.

4 in the Morning is a a nice black with hints of shimmer satin. It dried down to a matte finish, which I love! It was opaque, but 2 coats is needed to truly get the full effect.

OPI Gwen Stefani Collection Swatches Part 1

YES its Friday!! TGIF! I always get so excited for the weekend. I have nothing planned, but the idea of sleeping in pass noon is mind-blowing. Today I have part 1 of the Gwen Stefani collection from OPI. Now I have to be honest when I first seen the promos for the this collection, I wasn't excited, the colors looked basic, but I'm glad I got my hands on them because the satin formulations are GREAT!

First up is Hey Baby is a bright pink creme with blue hues. Application was good, slightly runny but nothing to noticeable. I love pink so another pink in my collection couldn't hurt.

Love.Angel.Music.Baby is a stain matte gold color. Now I am in NO way a gold polish fan, but OMG this is a beauty!!!!!! The application was flawless, and I enjoy the satin texture. I didn't add a topcoat because the satin is so beautiful. If I had to recommend any polish from this collection it would be this one. OMG this is beautiful!

Push and Shove is a silver chrome. This polish comes with a base coat ridge filler, sadly it was garbage and opted not to use it in the pictures below. I actually didn't use a ridge filler because my nail bed is pretty smooth. The formula on this one was pretty decent. It is streaky, but I liked the fact that it didn't dry immediately fast, so I was able to apply a 2nd coat. It is opaque and with careful application 1 coat is really all needed, but I believe in 2 coats no matter how opaque. =)

To my surprise I really enjoy this collection. Obviously the stand out for me is Love.Angel.Music.Baby I could wear it everyday if I didn't have tons of other polishes. Even though there are no ground breaking, life changing colors the formula on these are so good that its worth giving a try.

Brandee
